The topic was delivered over one hour with Q&A and presented the concept of a 1000 acre island which needed to be self-sufficient and how an island environment can be linked back to sustainable IT issues including eWaste, energy use, water use and chemical, toxins and heavy metals.
It also touched on the concept of biomimicry and how the design and manufacture of technology can be influenced by this concept.
The presentation ended with a concept view of the technological future as developed by Microsoft.
