The Australian Computer Society (ACS) engaged Bianca Wirth of Wirth Consulting to deliver a presentation on "Green ICT: The Impact and Opportunities for Future ICT Leaders" at their 2009 International Young ICT Conference in Sydney Australia. The topic was delivered over one hour with Q&A and presented the concept of a 1000 acre island which needed to be self-sufficient and how an island environment can be linked back to sustainable IT issues including eWaste, energy use, water use and chemical, toxins and heavy metals.
